Are these British ?

    They're British rigid airships, and my guess is that the photograph is at Howden. However, I'm prepared to concede that I might be wrong.

    It reminds me of a picture in a book I have, but the book is upstairs where my wife is sleeping so I can't get it till tomorrow.
    If I'm right, it shows R27 and R29 and it may even be a painting rather than a photo.

    Yes, Howden was a major RNAS/RAF airship base for anti-submarine patrols over the North Sea. See Battlebags by Ces Mowthorpe, ISBN 0 7509 1518 8.
