    Wise1 Getting Wiser!

    Folks,

Unfortunately we are one of the ones affected by this. Currently the reason the site is still up is that its routing to the backup, in actual fact the server this site is running on is still not running like many others.

The planet advise they are working hard on this and I totally believe them however I am getting worried as routing the site to the backup server is not very efficient and I am nervous not just for this site but my others too.

I am waiting an update from the planet just now. If need be I may need to move the sites dns to the backup which will mean the site will go down, if I am going to do this it will happen tonight so beware!

How long will it be down? I dont know, hopefully about 4-5 hours at most, I am not moving files as everything is rsyncing to the backup its the DNS that it is the issue, when I change it I like everyone needs to wait until the domain propogates across the internet.

Much the same at the moment, the server does seem a bit more stable, I can monitor the server from home and the fans, cpu, etc.. are all running quite normally. But I have reset the backups to run every 4 hours at them moment just in case.

Thanks for the update, Lee, hope it's not too stressful for you. Do what you have to do and we'll all understand!

Thanks, as always, for the work you do behind the scenes.
