I have placed on this website Caribbean Roll of Honour a listing of those West Indians killed in both world wars. It is by no means complete, and attributing nationality to a particular island is problematical. From researching the names on the Trinidad WW1 memorial this is not new. I found this young soldier today Jerome ... I didn't see him on your site ... but could be my eyes !! Private Samuel Maitland Bryson died 14-Dec-1917 Son of George and Elizabeth H. Bryson, of St. Mary, Jamaica, British West Indies. Samuel is buried in grave VIII.A.21 in Rocquigny-Equancourt Road British Cemetery, Manancourt, Somme. In Memory of Private SAMUEL MAITLAND BRYSON 109055, Royal Bn., Royal Canadian Dragoons who died age 27 on 14 December 1917 Son of George and Elizabeth H. Tony, I have nil for WW1, For ww2 I have 18 Civilian war dead, 2 ATS and postww2 have 3. I will have to do a manual search and cut & paste - never thought to include a sex column! - will bung in Excel - where shall i send it?
