I have COD3 I think and have played it a grand total of about four times, I think. Pretty addictive and good fun but games are not really my thing. It did come in useful after I'd had a bad day at work once, though. However, I think I vented my frustration on the targets and possibly committed some war crimes with the air-dropped Jeep...

I was interested to see a Halifax doing the Jeep (and agent) dropping.

Yeah that was interresting. I like the graphics but it is hard to come across ammo if you do not have an axis weapon. I nlike the3 MK1 NO. 4 Enfield. And the Sten and the Bren I just love British ww2 weapons. I like the FG42, I did not know what a FG42 was until this game but I looked up this on you tube" Firing a FG42 " and it came up and the game was acurate about it. Do you know you can type in any ww2 weapon and see it fired.?

Unfortunately, it didn't show details of the actual drop or the jeeps "attached" a la the drops made by the Lanc in Canada (http://ww2chat.com/forums/war-air/2856-lancaster-ee182-moran-michigan-u-s.html ).

However, this little snippet suggests it wasn't viable:
No.148 (Special Duties) Squadron in the Balkans « War and Game
    This, however, suggest otherwise:
    Halifax aircraft | ParaData
Both not renowned sources of course but interesting nonetheless.

Played COD1 and 2. Thought 2 was very good. But even my new computer can't handle the resource requirements of 4, and I wasn't keen on playing it anyway as it wasn't WW2 set.

Loved Sudden Strike 2 but it won't work in Vista (and I haven't looked for any Vista patches anyway)

Played all the CoD games and just finished CoD5 world at war. The last level of storming the Reichstag is excellent.
I used to play CoD2 online quite alot but I remembered I also had a life. Very addictive.

Fortunately, I never got into playing online - single player was always addictive enough, especially with a particular mod for COD2 which changed you into a german soldier in all the levels!!

I got together with some guys from work and we would meet up online on a Friday night, I would be up all hours. Great fun but left big bags under my eyes.
    Cool mod thou.

I like COD1, and COD2 also as I said in the thread. I never play war games that are not ww2. I am interested about COD5.:lever:

In my uni days, I had a great mate who worked for the help desk of an internet service provider. Another mate and I used to go up to the office late on Friday night and the weekends as he was coming off shift and get stuck into online Quake II. I, as Andyborg, was terrible having not honed my skills on the original Quake and not being a hard core gamer. Blew myself up many times by being too close to walls when letting off rockets but once I had a rocket launcher, I was marginally dangerous to anyone within range. Great fun but long, long nights.

I remember 'Quake', my dad was a fan.

I started with this many moons ago and loved it.
