For those who dont read their email often :director: Dear $username, I am very pleased to announce that we have a new site to complement ww2chat.com A number of members have expressed an interest in learning more about World War 1 from the beginning, many sites on the net are not catering well enough for the beginner and none allow for the fact many have for years dedicated their attention to another war such as ww2. Having put a lot of thought and effort into this we are pleased to be able to announce our new site for those with an interest in World War 1 but having little knowledge around it. http://ww1talk.co.uk ww1talk is our new site setup much like ww2chat and with a strong leaning towards learing rather than heavy debate at this time. A place where everyone can start learning more about WW1 from the beginning. So if your interested in learning about WW1 from the start come and join us. Everyone is very welcome and we have introduce some new features not seen before Hope to see you over there.. Regards $moderator_team p.s if your still not able to see ww2chat after the server move please reply to this email and I will tell you how to update your DNS.
I've stopped now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :blabla::blabla: I was just passing the time while you were all opening pressies !!
And I should also say to our new Moderator (Annie) a very big thank you for all you have done over there
Ah thats the beauty of a "butterfly mind" Kitty !! ... I can think of all kinds of things to talk about ... especially when it comes to WW1 !! :bounce: It's a passion that never goes away ! Annie
I crossed over to WW1 too. Looks like it will be a great site like this one. My only problem is that I cannot get my avatar to work. Any suggestions ?? (not rude ones) lease:
Sorry to be a pain in the butt, but what am I doing wrong with my posts on ww1. On ww2 the new post is shown at the top so as people see it and can them comment if they so desire. On ww1 I have entered some posts but they haven't shown at the top of new post for anyone to see or comment.
John I can see the list of posts today, including your one at 8.05pm. When you visit the site what address do you use? Try clicking this one WW1 Talk
Ah, if you are using the link "Today's Posts" then that is set for new posts since each member's visit. As you have been online after you posted, then it will not be highlighted for you. When a member visits after you posted something then when they click on Todays Posts all the posts that they haven't seen since their last visit will be highlighted for them
