Thanks Annie. I will have a look at the website. I think that cartoons show an insight into war that is very incisive. My local library obtained an excellent (outsized) book on the subject for me:

    Author Bryant, Mark.

Title World War I in cartoons.

    Publisher Grub Street, 2006.

    ISBN 190494356X

Mark Bryant also published similar books entitled - WWII in cartoons and Wars of the Empire in cartoons. Both are excellent, the latter book showing the British Lion at his best!
