Flight Lieutenant Cyril Talalla and Warrant Officer Henry Talalla

The Talalla brothers were from Malaysia and served with the RAF as pilots. Cyril served with No 118 Squadron and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for his participation in numerous sorties and for his leadership skills. He was promoted to Flight Lieutenant and served with No 122 Squadron. In April 1945 he was awarded a Bar to his DFC for his contribution to the destruction of enemy aircraft in the advance from Normandy to the German border. His brother Henry, served with No 182 Squadron and was deployed to Normandy in June 1944. Sadly Henry was killed in July 1944.
