Oh boy oh boy oh boy - I am so excited at learning that a new Then & Now book is coming out soon. The Battle of France covers the RAF, and others, from the start of the war through to the end of Dunkirk. I can't wait and is definately on my (post) Christmas list. It should be an excellent compliment to Shores' Fledgling Eagles, Cull's Ten Days in May, and Franks Air Battle for Dunkirk (all excellent books anyway): http://www.afterthebattle.com/boffranc.htm
Yes, I think he needs a lie down and a stiff Bushmills! Having said that, I doubt he's got room to lie down what with all of the books in his place. Still, the excitement is understandable.
You guys just don't understand - actually, neither do I. I think I need to go to Books Anonymous for my addiction :becky:
Hi, my name's Kyt and I'm a...is that a new Brian Cull on your shelf? Mind you, I'm not one to talk. My self-imposed ban ended this morning when I paid for a book by an observer who crewed in Blenheims in Malaya, Bostons with 22 Sqn RAAF and then Libs! Ban lasted two weeks!
I had a bit of a disaster at home, I came back one evening to find two bookcases had collapsed due to the weight! I need to replace them and get some more before I can start buying books again!
Nothing got damaged but now I have piles of books on the floor. I have next week off and so can get the stuff I need!
