What a guy! Edward "Ted" Sly DFC, MID is a former Kittyhawk and Spit pilot. He flew with Bluey Truscott on 452 Sqn RAAF over Europe before flying with 450 in the Med. He was involved in the El Alamein battle with 92 Sqn before instructing in Egypt. He was then sent home and flew with 457 Sqn RAAF - alongside the likes of Bobby Gibbes.

He wrote and self-published The Luck of the Draw in 2003.
