    Played as a Prop for: Kirkaldy High School, Kirkaldy

    Profession: Farmer

    War service: 2nd Lieutenant, 1st Highland Brigade, Royal Field Artillery

    Remarks: British Isles tour of South Africa 1924. Brother of David Howie (7 caps for Scotland; Lieutenant, 2nd Highland Brigade, Royal Field Artillery, died on 19 January 1916, in Cairo).

    Thanks for the photo. 25 is reasonably young for an international front-row forward; it's said that they often mature at about 30.
