Hello all. I have read a few, brief, references to Portuguese volunteers in German service. Most appear to have been attached to the various Spanish units.

Would anyone have specifics as to their contribution to the war? Any specific books or memoirs that should be read?

    Thanks!

Thanks for the note, Diptanshu. Indeed, Portugal honored the very old treaty. I read at least one book about the foreign volunteers in the Waffen SS that mentioned Portuguese fighters, but the details were scant.
