Yes, a good move by TNA. Previously, this information would cost £8.50 UK for up to 10 document pages, so £3.50 for a ship's card for the whole war period is welcome. To anybody downloading these files be sure to cross check with other sources as, with all documents filled in by bored clerks, they do contain mistakes. Regards Hugh
Fraid not Kitty. Mainly just the merchant ship - sailing/arrival dates and ports, any repairs, reasons for delays etc. Sometimes mentions specific convoy names but no military units mentioned. Regards Hugh
Hello Kitty, Courtesy of my friend Roger Griffiths over at Mercantile Marine. "All the Destroyer logbooks after early January 1940 have been, with one or two exceptions, destroyed. Her movements should be here: Detecting your browser settings They are not as detailed as a logbook but they may lead to other sources of information." I hope this is of some help. If you need further info on how to get that file give a post back. The thing to watch out for is that you get 10 document pages for £8.50 direct to your email address on a 24 hour service - no find no fee. So if you need movements for 1940 - 1945 they will most likely be more than the 10 so it may be worth using their research service or better still a visit if you live near TNA. The movement file above is held in piece ADM 199/2576. Regards Hugh
