In relation to the Hudson, the RAAF has an active recovery programme so, despite what's said, I would have thought it'd be best to rcover the crew. At least then, the family could honour them somewhere that is easy to get to. Before anyone else goes in there and takes what's left of the airframe and disturbs/loses the remains. From memory, Chester Wilmot did a similar broadcast/recording during an air raid on Tobruk. It's phenomenal stuff to listen to.
