    Hi Kerri,

Only thing i can find on the 2/1st Movement and transport is that they had a famous land developer, pastoralist and racehorse-breeder during the years of 1939-1945. He was of course ALFRED FRANK GALLARD GRANT, born 1917 and died in 1983. According to his Bibliography he stayed with them throughout the war and ended up in the Solomon Islands (1944-45). Sorry i can't find out anything on the Port Detachment unit AIF in the Middle East. Does it have a unit number?

    Regards

welcome to the forum Kerri. I am afraid we tend to need a little bit more to go on. As sniper said do you have any unit numbers etc?
