The Western Front Association East Coast Branch is pleased to announce its Fall 2013 World War 1 History Symposium which will be held on Saturday 12 October at the York County Heritage Trust, York PA. This exciting event will feature the nationally celebrated author Richard Rubin who will be speaking on his new book THE LAST OF THE DOUGHBOYS. Presentations also include African Americans in the AEF by Robert J. Dalessandro, Chief of the US Army's Center of Military History (based on his book WILLING PATRIOTS), a new interpretation of the German Navy mutinies 1917-19 by historian Timothy Mulligan, a strategic perspective on the British Indian Army by Dr. Corey Reigel of West Liberty University, and an assessment of the role of the capital warship in the cause, course and aftermath of WW1 by WFA East Coast's Ryan Szimanski. The symposium will also include displays of WW1 artifacts and memorabilia, door prizes, refreshments, a Branch-sponsored out-of-print/used WW1 book sale, and an optional buffet lunch.
