Hi Annie - sadly I am unable to help with either of your requests this time!

Firstly Motor Lighters were in effect motorised transport barges which generally all looked the same other than size differences. Therefore whilst I do have a few pictures of this type of vessel I do not have one of X6.

The MV Capable I do not have a picture of - unfortunately whilst I do have many non naval ship pictures I do not have the sort of coverage that I have in Warships.

All I know about her is she went down after hitting a mine off the Isle of Wight on 5 June 1940.

She was carrying a cargo of Alderney stone.

She lost all five crew and two army gunners (both Manchester regiment. The Capt was I think called John.D Sullivan and the engineer a Charles Bloom.

Sorry Annie - I hate not being able to help find a picture for you.

Right the good news is that I have found a picture of the elusive little MV Capable!

Sadly the bad news is that the picture could not possibly be any smaller...!!

Still - better than a poke in the eye with a blunt stick and hopefully goes someway to restoring my tattered reputation as picture getter supreme!
