    Not something you see everyday!

    There is a restoration of a Russian recovery happening in East Kirkby, I think and the Canadian link below is a cosmetic resto using limited resources/parts.

    The East Kirkby restoration is principally parts from the Swedish Hampden wreck found in 1976

    You are spot on, BC1. RAF bomber forced to land on mountain Tsatsa - sorry to mislead, chaps.

    I don't know where I was getting the Russian thing from. Ah, yes I do...P1344 recovered in Sept 91 for the RAFM. Peter Arnold pic. I've got this pic in an old FlyPast somewhere which is where I must have read it.
