Death Match, Kiyiv, 1942.

    The capital of Ukraine (then, just another big city in USSR), 1942, German occupation of Kiyiv. The football (soccer team) of "Luftwaffe" has offered the team of the occupied Kiyiv (some of the players were from "Dynamo-Kiyiv") to play a soccer match. Nobody knows exactly when, either before the match, or after the match, the Germans demanded a loss from the Soviet side. The response of the Soviet team was the defeat of the German team with the score 5:3. All the players were sent to the concentration camps. About half-a-year later, 4 of the players were dead. No one knows the exact tragic details of those deaths...
