Hello All: I just joined up, a late Canadian addition. I am doing some research on Hitler nearly becoming a casualty of either a misdirected V bomb or an emergeancy bomb jettisoning during the summer/fall of 1944. I believe the event was the bomb jettisoning, but memory tells me that during his last visit to France in 1944, a targetting error led to a V 1 coming down near him. Anyone with knowledge of either event. I would be grateful for an update. Cromwell

Welcome Cromwell. Hitler only visited France once and that was in 1940 after the surrender. I have never heard or read of him ever visiting again. He certainly wouldn't have visited France in the summer/fall of 1944. He became quite a recluse after the July plot
