Does anyone know when Clydebank council are going to unveil the Clydebank War Memorial?
It was meant to have been Nov 11th last year, but was delayed.

I have put my great grandfather and his four brothers names on the list, and plan to go for the unveiling, with my father.

I hope they are not waiting until Nov 11th this year :noidea:

I am waiting to book my trip to Glasgow, but plan to go at the same time as the unveiling of the Clydebank War Memorial.

There appears to be absolutely no news on its progress anywhere, including the website. It maybe worth phoning the council to find out.

    Hi Kyt

Mmmmmmmm I guess it will be Nov 11th this year then!!!
I was hoping to visit Glencoe again, but in the warmer weather.

I will email the council again!!!!!

I have to be there for the unveiling.

I have even roped in four other family members, my passion is rubbing off on them all lol

    THEY MUST BE REMEMBERED!!!!!!!!!!

Here is a message I received today from Clydebank Council. :)

Suitable sites for the memorial are still under consideration in consultation with Historic Scotland, so I can’t give an indication of date at the moment. Sorry about the delay, but we do want to identify the best and most suitable site to commemorate the many names that have been submitted to us.

Keep in touch, Karen, and I’ll keep you posted with any developments.

What ever happened with this, was it resolved?

Clydebank is just a kick in the arse away from where I live, need someone local to do anything?
