7 Dec. 1941 as most of Americans know, marks the 73 anniversary of the Japanese aerial assault on Pear Harbor.
I feel a little embarassed because my wife and I went shopping this morning for groceries and I saw the Nation's flags at half mast and could not figure out why until I thought of the day of the month a couple of hours later.

After thinking about the assault for a while I started wondering what else happened on this day in history. I discovered that most of the history listed is militarily oriented so I posted the link.

One of the days of interest occured in 1917 when the U.S. declared war on Austria. Because of that date, I have a little studying to do, since the way I understand it the U.S. did not officially enter into WWI until 1918. http://www.brainyhistory.com/days/december_7.html
