I watched it a little while ago and to be honest I really wasn't all that impressed. It was made out to be a fantastic film but it just didn't cut it for me. It just seemed to drag on for too long and I even felt a little bit bored during it. Anybody else feel like this or maybe share your opinion on it?

I did enjoy the film. I do agree though that the film was a bit boring at times. The acting and presentation, as well as the visuals on the film were pretty well done though, in my opinion. Adrian Brody is a fine actor and I thought he was the stand out in the film. I think you have to appreciate more sophisticated and artsy films to have enjoyed it.

I was a pianist for many years, I was actually studying the piece he plays at in the cold house at one time. I had to fast forward a number of things because it was too intense for me. What did stick with me, because I am a pianist, was how unrealistic that scene was, even though it was very moving, I know for a fact it is physically impossible to play like that when one is in a place that is very cold and not even a little bit warmed up. The fingers are simply too stiff. I've tried practicing during power outages, it doesn't work.

It was a bit dull for a war movie. I think it lacked action scenes but the great acting was what kept me going. It was a bit long but I thought it had a good story.

I liked how the film was from the perspective of the pianist which is quite refreshing for World War II films because usually the politics or the soldiers/captains are the focus. It's a quiet, heartwrenching film that close mimics Beethoven's music which the film features quite prominently.

It is a very artistic and tragic movie. I loved it when i first saw it. I am in love with classical music and this movie brought deep and inner feelings to audience through both, music and tragic things in the war. It was Adrien Brody performance was just breathtaking if you ask me. If not him that year it wouldn't be unfair if Daniel Day-Lewis got the oscar. The man is an acting genius. Anyway, the movie was more than very good. It was , it is, amazing.
