Hey guys, do you think that Italy has made the right choice to join the war in '15 ? Despite the human losses it has received not that much from that war...

Indeed, that particular front was a blood bath and Italy really didn't get a whole lot of say in the post war period. The shaky economic, social, and political environment in Italy after the war led, eventually, to Mussolini rising to power. In other words, it ended badly. ;)

Yes, you are definelty right about this. As the pope said at that time it was a total waste of human lives... also Italy didn't really make a good impression in the WWI because they managed to still lose in battles where they were outnumbering the enemy. Also Austria was applied to other fronts like the russian one.

Why don't you think that the situation Italy had started for the War 1? You talks today very easily for what she had to do .... do you think it was an easy task for Salandra remainig stick to the Treaty of London! He had been replaced, still why the situations never turned favorable? I believe it was due to the massive political turbulance inside of Italy which eventually forced her to attack against Allies.

Of course, that could be a really valid reason but moreover I believe that the efficency of the Italian generals' strategies back then wasn't really good. What I meant is that they could behave in a different way in some situations.

As you know due to the technical and other various complicated aspects, it is difficult to analyze the matter in such a short space. If the question is specific, answers 'll be then more prominently come out.
However, let us try to justify the case for Caporatto as an example .. since it has been observed as one of time taken painstaking battle of Italy. What I've noted and understood that Cadorna and his men (2nd Army ) were totally outdated/outplanned, incapable of flank movement bla bla bla ... but when it proved??
At first the Astro-Hungarian PAX started well alongwith Italy. At theis stage, MOD should have to send more updated ammos rather than drafting/drawing newer men. Mind it that the Astro-Hungarian also have'nt much better equipments, had they received better ammos, I'm sure for they didn't have to observe high casualty rate (may check with the comparative chart).
Again, during the 11th Battle of Isonzo in '17, they outnumbered the enemy by some 5:2 ratio and made a breakthrough at the Bainsizza Plateau where they faced water crisis. Moreover von Below sent 7 German Dvsns, though for a specic period but the Italians there been found absolutely outdated to the Astro-German-Hungarian pincer movements resulting very high rate of casualties.
