I am trying to find out which theater of war Albert Ashcroft (Cpl/Gnr 53053 97/BY) RFA was stationed in the war, can anyone help me locate his whereabouts.
    He joined @ Fleetwood 15/10/1908 Aged 20 (b:1888 in Preston) discharged 14/10/1920
I believe he was in the 97th Battery RFA in July 1918 - now I start to get confused, I have been told he was with the 19th Brigade but I also have him with the 26th brigade RFA on his medial card.
I know I can request a copy of the 19 Brigade from the National Archives but unsure what this will tell me and would it include the 26th Brigade info for him?
    Any help much appreciated.

The record for Albert's Military Medal does indeed show that he received this whilst a member of 97th Battery, RFA. And that he was in France when it was awarded.
