Who was the last veteran of the Revolutionary War to be elected President of the United States? And who was the second (and last) former prisoner of war to be elected President of the United States?

    Good luck.

Andrew Jackson served in the militia at age 14 near the end of the war. If not him, then must be James Monroe.

Andrew Jackson was a POW. Was he second? perhaps to George Washington who would have been a POW in 1754 following fort Necessity?

You are correct on both counts, sir. Washington was indeed the first, taken during the French and Indian War in 1754, as you point out.

    Good job.
