Gareth Hutchinson, Frank MC played for England Internationals: 3 : 1909 F+ (1t) I+ S- Frank Hutchinson was born in 1885, in Wakefield Played as a Fly half for: Leeds Grammar School, Old Leodiensians, Headingley Profession: Hotel proprietor War service: Second Lieutenant, Royal Garrison Artillery, attached 133rd Siege Battery; MC Gazetted 11 January 1919: “For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. Whilst mounting his guns at night they came under heavy fire of High Explosive and gas. This officer kept his men steady, getting the work well down and got the guns ready by the morning. He also did valuable work as Forward Observation Officer and gave useful information to the officer in command of the advanced infantry.” Remarks: Played for Yorkshire (0-24) v the 1908-1909 Wallabies. 13 appearances for Yorkshire 1907-1910. Scrum.com has his birthdate as 20 October, 1885. He played seven Minor Counties matches for Yorkshire 2nd X1 in 1904, 05 and 06.
