Rex sent me an email to say that there is to be a memorial service at the grave of Gilbert Harry in Gympie Queensland at 10am on Monday 22nd June

If anybody happens to be near there - I would love to see pictures ... I feel this brave man deserves the honour bestowed on him ..... even though it is so late coming !

    RIP Gilbert

Is it possible to get him officially "in from the cold" given the state he left the army in?

Good evening...while collecting my mother's ashes, today, I mentioned that she might like her resting place to be near her uncle Gilbert...after all, she'd done everything to see that he was recognised for his efforts.
So, I just Googled his name and Millmerran...and ended up here. I'm curious as to who Liverpool Annie is...because mum's name is Anne.

Thankyou for posting that article...I tip my hat to Mum and Great Uncle Gilbert.

Going to go through all Mum's files to find other living relatives

Hi all, Is great to see all the info written on Samuel and Gilbert as it makes them become more real. Samuels sister Claudia (Brentnall) was my great grandmother, and all this info is good as I am trying to do my family tree and has helped to find more info than I would have done without you all. If any of you have any info on the harry family I would be greatful to know more about them. thanks
