    Hi Guys,

I'm hoping that one of you guys from down under will be able to help me with a project i am planning with my modelling. I have found it impossible to get any Aussie WW2 soldiers in the scale of 1:35 here in the UK.
If anyone can help please can you find out the cost of the model soldiers and what the postage would be so i can arrange shipment with you and get the money paypal'ed over to you. The ones i particularily need are those in bush hats which will go on a diorama i am planning to make.
On completion i will of course post up some photos of the finished diorama.

    Thanks

    Hi Sniper,

I would not know the first place to start so hopefully someone else does.

    Hi Sniper,

With a little bit of trouble, some stiff card, a craft knife, correct paint, and modelling clay, you should be able to adapt any existing British models you have into Aussie infantry.
If you are making a diorama which takes some skill, you should be able to tackle this.
You will also get more satisfaction at the outcome.
    Have a go!
Have a nice Christmas and a fruitful modeling New Year.

    Hi Keith,

Will give it a try, but not that experienced on altering figures. Have done a few dioramas and have a huge one on the go right now, 2 feet by 2 feet diorama of the battle for Goose Green in 1982. The one i have planned may not materilise for quite some time as this has only just been started and have loads to do on it yet. Will post pics up of it when its finished.
Have a grreat xmas and a fantastic start to the new decade.

Sniper i know of the type you want,

I had heaps as a kid, one model has a slouched hatted digger with a Owen Carbine while others have a Tommy gun in one hand, while both have a grenade in the other hand. Others of course have the SMLE while others also MMG's. It's been a few decades since i had them however I expect they are still around

They usually are Aussie Jungle fighters in a WW2 Green others can come in a Khaki not sure on the exact sizes, so I will do some searching for you.

Will contact if i find them.

    Cheers

    Hi Cobber,

Many thanks for any help you might be able to give me in this. If you do find any let me know and if its a website send me the link and i'll buy them direct. However if its from one of your local shops i'll be more than happy to send you the money for them and the postage.
Hope your well. Hope you don't have a sore head in the next few hours as i know you have already brought in the next decade.

    Cheers

Roger that Sniper, will keep the peepers open for you.

I haven't drank more than a couple of beers in one sitting since around 2002, only time i drink is when me and my oldest and best mate get together for a couple games of pool (8 ball) at a local pub with Bay and beach views and that only happens 2 or 3 times a year.
I never drank very much to start with, so it was easy to just not buy the stuff. It was the same with Debrah, we still go out to friends homes, events and parties just not as drinkers. It took a while to be able to handle drinkers getting drunk while i remained sober and continued talking to them.

So we saw the New Year with glorious food, glorious views of all the fire works and a real nice night to top it off, it was stinking hot but by 8.30pm a change blew in with some fantastic rain that made the night, a great start to 2010, as we still have a very low water supply even though we had some rain in past months, that helped make the gardens bloom with greenery and flowers while the water Dams got very little.
