For years I have been researching the Shiny 9th who served in Burma in the Second World War.I have quite a bit of information and store of memories handed down by my father who served in this theatre right to the end.I have also discovered that there are copies of a useful book-The Shiny 9th by Murray Gillings-available from the Military Museum in Eastbourne.Good background reading for anyone with an interest in this Battalion.
