    Hi John,
Fantastic news, glad you are back with us.
Look forward to your continued postings.
Going in myself for a small op on tuesday, removing an arthiritic knuckle from my left thumb.
Only a local anesthetic, so no real problem.
Will only be able to use one hand typing !
    Your return is good news.
I can uncross all my fingers now that you're OK.
    :clap2:

    Cheers
    Keith

    Hi Kitty,
Thanks, but I'm only classified as a day patient, so no real problem, except that my arm will be in plaster for couple of months.
It will then have to be rehabilitated and exercised before it will be back to full use.
Ive already had the same operation on my right hand, so I know what to expect.
    Thanks for your kind words.

    Cheers

    To my fellow forum members.
Thank you again for all the welcome back posts. I think it may take a couple of days before I am up to speed again. Thank you again for your support before I went into hospital as it helped me overcome fears of the operation, and believe me I was very afraid.

One member sent me a private message that has disappeared before I could answer it and I am not sure now who sent it. Could you please send me a copy of your message.

Really glad you made it John!
Make sure you have a good rest to recuperate; don't feel you have to get to the computer if it is stressful for you

    Minor Op.

    Hi John,
Glad you are feeling better, you take care, don't overdo it, my minor op pales into insignificance compared to yours.
I will take care, if I try otherwise, my wife will kill me !!!!
There's a joke in there somewhere!
You don't get to my age without taking care, so don't worry.
In tomorrow but out the same day, unless there's a glitch.
    (Glitch) Ausie speak for blunder.?
I'll have to stop drinking so many Fosters.

    Cheers
    Keith

Off to hospital to-day to see if skin graft is working, if not they will have to do it again. My poor weary nerves are taking a battering lately

    Hi fellow forumers
Yes all is well with the graft. It was a very painful day having the dressings removed. When removing the dressing from my leg they pulled every hair from my knee up, off. With the head it self when they started to removed the surgical dressing, they didn't notice that it was held to my head by staples and also stiches. That really did hurt. Once staples and stiches removed it wasn't so bad. Yes I am a big sook. They say it looks like the graft is working well but I have to go back again next week for another check

    :faint: :please:
