Apparently, John Woo is working on Flying Tiger Heroes (from the Chinese translation). Might be interesting although he did direct Windtalkers...

The Chinese emphasis makes me a bit nervous. The AVG was distinct from the Chinese Air Force flight school, though Chennault was head of both; the movie publicity suggests that the Tigers were the instructors. Nor can the AVG story be honestly told if limited to Yunnan province. The Tigers earned their glory, and most of their combat victories, in Burma. More about all this in the Annals of the Flying Tigers. Blue skies! -- Dan Ford

Welcome to the forum, Dan. For those who don't know Dan is the author of the superb Flying Tigers: Claire Chennault and His American Volunteers, 1941-1942 which I was lucky enough to purchase direct from him a couple years back. (BTW I am Amrit on TOCH :) )

Welcome aboard, Dan. It is indeed an honour.

Have to admit the John Woo connection had me thinking dubious thoughts.
