    Guys,

In both Sgt. James McCairn's and Sgt. Derrick Nabarro's escape and evasion report, they mention a Belgian whose christian name was Godefroi. He escaped with Nabarro but assisted McCairns and indeed my Father in earlier escapes. During the war he lived near Libramont.

    Any ideas who he was?

    Regards,

    Nick

There appears to be two different spellings:

    Stalag IXC

He is probably a Belgian soldier rather than airman

    Kyt,

You are right about the different spellings but from my own research, they are one and the same. I also think you are right about the fact that he is probably a Belgian soldier.

Have checked through various European sites without success to date.

    Regards,

    Nick
