I was only nineteen is an Australian song by the group Redgum, relevant to the Vietnam war however it is appropriate to any war.

I have versions by Mike Harding and the dubliners, they are all good versions, with lots of emotion and feeling.

Close call - both made me cry. Hard not to be affected by the visuals too. The line of guns and helmets was very moving but the child with the gun!!!!!
