If we all club together, and sell off various internal organs, then we might just be bale to buy her

I could sell my soul for $50.

This is the ex-USAFM Spit from memory. A presentation Spit too, IIRC. She was brought down under by Murray Griffiths who now runs Precision Aerospace in the old Air World hangar at Wangaratta (restoring Kittyhawks, P-39s, P-38s, Bostons and Ki-61s - don't quote me on the last one - all in mini assembly line arrangement, economies of scale and all that). The Subritzkys, last I heard, were restoring an Airspeed Oxford.

When MG bought her from the USAFM at Wright-Patterson, she was, as she is now, in totally original condition. I can't remember if the canopy was sealed shut or what, but I do remember MG commenting in an article that the air in the cockpit was very musty and just smelled old. Wouldn't be surprised if she returned to the States.
