I want to let forum members know that my Dad's WW2 diary is finally scheduled for release on 19 May by Pen and Sword. More info about his war is at Fighting Through - From Dunkirk to Hamburg - War Diary and autobiography of Bill Cheall - WW2, Dunkirk, D-Day diary. World War 1939-45, where you can read the first chapter located on the beaches at Dunkirk.

Incidentally, I have just posted another news topic on the site following contact from family of Don Savage, a pal of Dad's. He was KIA on a Lancaster and I have got hold of a photo of him (attd) and the pilot who shot his plane down - and pic of the plane! Click here to view it all.

Has the book now been released? If so i will be getting myself a copy. I will certainly read through it and give you an honest review.

Are you planning to research Don Savage? I have a copy of Bomber Command losses for each year of the war so i can look up the details in the book for you if you want.
