    Hi John,

    Top Row, (left to right)

Airspeed Indicator, Inclinometer (Nose angle up or down), Turn and Slip Indicator, Tachometer (newer style)

    Bottom Row, (left to right)

    Altimeter, Compass, Oil Pressure Gauge

Hope this helps. Any questions, fire away.

Thank you for the info Owen. What is the big box shape article at the base of the compass ??

    Hi again John,

That box is a modern day addition. It holds such things as electrical systems and radios. You can see the circuit breakers on the front with an ammeter just above them.

    Cheers

    Dh 1

    Hi Kyt
The thumbnail I posted is a drawing from the History of the De Havilland Aeroplane.
I think I have uploaded a better image!
    Download and magnify.
I have never seen a picture, there were only three built, I believe.
the image you posted is not the DH 1, possibly a DH 2.
This was renamed DH(Airco)1, when put into production.
    Cheers
    Keith

    Dh 1 & 2

    Hi Kyt, you found it
I think the designation of the balsa model should read DH(Airco)1, starting a new series by the army.
    Cheers

Yes, I think that confused me. I was getting the Dehavilland Biplane no.1 and the Airco DH 1 mixed up. The later was introduced several years after the first - the first being a private enterprise by De Havilland.

    Your instruments look good, Keith

    DH(Airco)1

    Hi Kyt,
It was the Model Kit Manufacturer who got it wrong.
    Maybe these will help.
Check out the various Wing Spans.
    Cheers
    Keith
PS Thanks for your words of encouragement.
