This site is maintained by Labour History Net. It provides free access to over 140 contemporary full-text documents, photographs and other primary resources relating to the history of the 1917 Stockholm Peace conference. This was an attempt by Socialists from a number of European nations to gather together to arrange a peace conference during the First World War. Ultimately this did not take place but its attempt paints a picture of high aspirations that collided with power politics. The site includes a background history to the proposed conference. Users should note that some documetns are offered in Dutch and/or German only.
