What is the best ww2 infantry weapon?

    I rise to support the often overlooked sharpened entrenching tool. Not only could it be used as a very effective hand-to-hand weapon in a pinch, it could be used to build defensive positions for personal protection. It was truly an infantry weapon which never needed to be reloaded, never needed ammo.

    But, is it a listed one that to be used in general, I doubt!
    I think those entrenching tools, bayonets,Glocks or even MPL 50 are good to use during an emergency, still not regarded as infantry weapons,here as per the thread, I am not sure about.
