    Searching for photos of the bus in Blitzed London for my youngest Grandsons school project I found this colour one. There is one hell of a collection of ww2 related photos on there.

    Have you got any idea whereabouts in London that was? I can't see the image clearly enough but it does look very familar.

    I was actually looking for another B&W photo of a bus standing on end leaning against a bombed building.
    Do not know which street, but building in back ground says South Metropolitan Gas co.

    here's another view showing other side of road.

    The photo was taken after Balham High Street was hit.

    From The Blitz: Then & Now Volume 2

    The bomb fractured a water main that flooded the tunnels and station beneath. Some 65 civilians died.

    The driver was lucky to be blown out of the bus!

    Thanks for that, he now seems to becoming a bit of a flyboy. Anything and everything that flies, he likes to look at it.

    Wow, those bomb photo's bring to life what the British people had to suffer during WW2. Very scarey.
