Battle of Britain Images

    This is one of my fave images from the BofB.
    It was taken between the 12th and 18th August at Hawkinge. P3208 was shot down on 18th August 1940 and Plt Off K N T Lee survived after baling out from 17,000 ft.
    However P3208 was shot down in the same action and Plt Off J W Bland was killed.

    that is a cracking shot, particularly when you take the cameras of the time into account.

    Would that be an actual single shot or one taken from a roll on a movie camera?

    The Kent Battle of Britain Museum has a replica Hurricane, painted up as P3208. Unfortunately, I can't find a picture of her as the Museum seems a bit anal about photos:

    Common practice? I have never been told that cameras were not allowed in any other aviation museum!

    To be fair I don't know but I've never seen this as a film.
