The size of the list emphasises the contribution of this group whose deeds are most times forgotten. Their death rate per capita being worse than the US marines tells the story.
Merchant Navy/Mercantile Marine Very much the forgotten and overlooked service and with these casualty rates they do not deserved to be. Regards Hugh
