I am going to the Field of Remembrance on Thursday with my dad. Anyone going?

His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh will open this year's Royal British Legion Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey on Thursday 6th November at 11am.

It was very moving today. Wish the workmen had stopped drilling at 11 am though.
There was a good turnout. And some familiar faces from last year.

Saw HRH and got some pic's. Then went to the pub to toast all the fallen.

Glad you had a good day SP. Care to share some of the pics?

Sounds like a very rewarding but also difficult trip, as Kyt says some pics would be nice if not intrusive.

Here are some photo's. I tried to get a clear photo HRH.

I also took photo's of the RAF section for my friend whose father was killed in WW2 six months before she was born.

Didn't take as many this year. But we go there again next week if anyone wants a photo of a certain regiment/section. Let me know and I will gladly take a photo for you.
